Step It Up A Notch...
Something tells me we are starting to hit the bottom. People are tired of being cramped up all winter doing nothing, buying nothing, and having no fun. It was sixty-six degrees today and I washed and waxed three cars. Forgive me, I love the sun so much!
The CD’s playing included an outstanding live performance by Bobby Darin at his prime. What a great talent he was. My barn has big booming speakers that my neighbors could appreciate more than an acre away. If you didn’t get some sunlight today I hope you get some soon. It snapped me out of some winter funk that has been dragging my spirit down.
No Mas!
Getting some exercise, feeling the warmth on my face, and washing away the winter muck on my cars made me feel like singing. So, for a few songs Bobby and I were doing a duet…full blast. Geez, that felt good. Over these winter months I have kept very busy marketing every day to get more speaking opportunities…I am determined to make people see that what I offer is essential to their well being.
Saturday I went to a wedding for the daughter of a friend. One person, Chris, walked up to me to say hello and he is a wonderful young man who has a bright future ahead of him. We met after he was referred to me following one of my presentations. Two hours after that, Chris was back, introducing me to a Maryland State Delegate who shares my interest in helping business owners. Chris has already paid me back for anything I will do for him.
On Wednesday night of this week I fly to St. Louis for a speech at St. Louis University. The young man who set up this event contacted the local media and on Thursday morning I will be appearing live on the Fox News TV Channel at about 7:25AM. Later that day is lunch with a few students and faculty and then a speech before 300 people that evening. The theme is Passion. Passion for your future.
Well, with the sun today, the new contacts, the TV and speech scheduled for this week and the thought that spring is coming I have felt a “kick” in my step. Even though my normal gear is “full out” I think I can step it up a notch and I hope you will too.
