Today proves that every person in this country is equal. Because, every person has the same right and ability to elect our next President. It is mathematically possible that your vote…your specific vote…could be the one that elects the new leader.
Take this responsibility seriously. Filter the lies being told on both sides from supporters who stretch the truth, bend the truth, and sometimes simply ignore the truth.
We didn’t get here because of the Republicans alone…the Democrats voted for laws and ignored oversight just like their counterparts. Admittedly I am disappointed in the behavior of our government for a long time now. Did either candidate say we have to reign in debt? Did either candidate say those in government in charge of banking should be thrown out? Did either one condemn Wall Street folks who sucked trillions, that’s right trillions, from retirement accounts?
Look…people who did or did not do their job got their job because WE ELECTED THEM.
Vote for the issues you believe in, the people you think best represent your point of view and hope the new leaders do a better job than those who have been running Congress, and that people around the world see a better America…because more people vote today than ever before.
