Joys of Ownership

As this year comes to an end many of you will be asking is 2008 the year I finally start or buy my own business. Let me tell you some reasons why it has been a complete joy for me to own and run a company.

1) Being the boss…first and foremost is that you get to decide…on everything.

2) Being the boss…it’s so good it is better than whatever number two would be.

3) The sense of accomplishment you get from letting your own vision come to life.

4) Creating what you want at the pace you want to work…not on someone else’s schedule.

5) Being self-reliant and not dependent on others as much for your income.

6) Setting your own goals and showing yourself what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

7) Reaping the rewards you earn as you go…not working for a limited paycheck.

8) Establishing an entity unique to your way of doing things.

9) Helping others through employment and the product or service your company provides.

10) Oh yeah, that’s right….being the boss.

Make 2008 the year you either commit to your goal…or start treating your job like a business…and start being your own boss even there.

In this blog, you’ll read about starting a business, running a business, and, if the situation calls for it, selling a business; about being a business success and not a business failure. Welcome …
