It's All How You Look At It...
Nature is an immense force. It can be a force that destroys a city, a county, or vast parts of a nation in the blink of an eye. Many people are seen outside of their house after a fire has swept through just staring at the rubble. Landslides take away everything at times. Floods, hurricanes and tornadoes level neighborhoods in seconds.
Go back to those sights in a year and the transformation is amazing. Unbelievable. Incredible. How does that happen?
After decades of overspending due to unlimited credit availability the economy grew into a huge “trailer park” of sorts. Because trailer parks seem to always be wiped out when a tornado hits. Or a hurricane. Well, what we have all witnessed is that real capitalism can be a force as great as anything nature can throw at the world. In a swift matter of months the lifetime savings of many people have been wiped out. The pensions of many have disappeared overnight. Our economy has been the target of a one hundred year storm. It looks just like the landscape where people stare at the rubble…and are in shock and disbelief…and become paralyzed and unable to know what to do next. Does this mean we are now doomed?
When you wake up and visit America in a year you will be amazed by the recovery. To be sure, many people will still be like zombies, and some of the rubble will still be in plain sight. But there will be places where flowers bloom and money is being made. There will be fresh green places to play in…and money will be made. We will talk about the disaster but some will ignore it and move on. Some people are already rebuilding…they know they must make it happen again.
You can sit back and wait for others to rebuild America…or you can pick up a hammer and help us get it done faster. If you need a little motivation to get started…those who start now will get to the finish line first.
