Here comes an auction...
April 19th has been set for the date when an auction will be held at 25 Lord Lane in Swainton, New Jersey. That will put an exclamation point on a long road traveled by my clients who started with a dream and ended with a nightmare. But the sun is coming up again soon.
An auction firm has been engaged to handle the actual auction on that date, but efforts are underway to get interested parties to the table. I have sent out another missive letting Brokers know we are holding the auction, and that they can be paid a commission if a sale closes…and just three days after the letters have been sent…voila…someone has already requested a registration form to bring at least one bidder to the sale.
The Brokers have all said up to now that “There is no such thing as an auction of a house on the Shore.” But as reality is setting in they must now start to realize that someone will actually buy this house, and that someone may be one of their clients, and that could mean money in the Brokers pocket.
A revised article announcing the actual sale date is being distributed to newspapers this week. Phone calls to Brokers will continue in an attempt to generate interest.
SPECIAL NOTE OF THE DAY: My beautiful wife Maggie does not read this daily blog…but others do…and so on this day I wish my wife a very special Happy Birthday as she reaches the milestone of sixty years of age. She is an elegant Lady who touches people around her in a quiet way that makes the world a much better place to live.
